Dah'nan De'Lokvar
A little bit of Dah'nan's backstory:
Long ago, an
evil Emperor named Xaveron ruled a dark kingdom. As the
leader of the elf army, Dah'nan went to his fortress with
elven warriors and mages and fought bravely to free his
land from tyranny. Alongside him was his best friend and
comrade, Karniel, who was the leader of the human army. The
huge battle raged on and on, and sadly Karniel was lost.
For a split second Dah'nan was vulnerable and unfortunately
the Emperor used his evil powers to put a curse on
Dah'nan's body while he wept. The curse was as follows:
Half of Dah'nans body was changed into a horrible deformity
which stopped him from fighting or moving properly any
longer. The curse was supposed to take over his whole body,
but before the Emperor could finish, Dah'nan used the last
of his strength to vanquish and seal the Emperor into a
statue that he buried to the centre of the earth. After the
battle, and many years later, Dah'nan can no longer be a
fighter in his form, so he retires as a healer and a hero,
going from village to village, visiting the poor and
cheering them up, singing songs and nursing certain
individuals back to health; healing them as if he were
trying to heal himself. To know exactly how the war went,

healer who enjoys singing sad folk songs and plays a flute.
Though calm, he holds a very deep passion for revenge for

Extra stuff you should need to know: Dah’nan is
an easy person to work with. He likes to open up to new
ideas. He has a pet winged dragon that he uses to travel at
high speeds around the world. He looks quite fit for a 700
year old elf. Despite his wrinkles on his face, remains quite
handsome. He covers up the side of his body that’s
deformed with many cloaks, and he walks with a limp. His
curse IS NOT in effect when he goes to Candy's future. He
also gets to wear different futuristic clothing.
Style: Fantasy, Lord of the Rings meets Disney with
over exaggerated handsome features; flowy garments. There are
medium levels of detail in the clothing, but with a horror
element to his deformed side, like masses of sinew.

How the Character is Involved in the Story
Character's role in the novel: Second main
character.
Scene where character first appears: At the very
beginning of the story, he narrates and is introduced in the
first scene.
Relationships with other characters:
1. Candy: -- When he first meets her he’s
extremely confused of this girls’ origin and where she
came from, but it’s strangely intrigued, and even
moreso when he finds out that she has the same tattoo he
does. They become inseperable as they are trying to find out
why they both have the same tattoo, how Candy got to the past
in the first place, and if there’s anyone who can
answer their questions. All the meanwhile, the Evil Emperor
is stirring in his Undead Grave…
2. Karniel: -- Best friend and comrade. They were
really quite a pair leading the army to victory in most cases
of war that would come about, and were a strong tie in the
alliance of the humans and elves.
3. Mistius: -- Though Dah’nan doesn’t
have anything against Mistius, he blames his father’s
death on Dah’nan.
4. Rogana- They were acquainted when Karniel was
still alive and continued to be friends even afterward, and
even against Mistius’s wishes of becoming friends with
him. He visited her often, even when she was unable to speak
from the devastating news of her husbands’ death. When
Rogana regained ability to speak and act normally again, she
became unlike herself and sometimes acts a little too
grateful towards Dah’nan…
5. Elder Circle: -- Dah’nan was very respected
by them until after the war when they grew weary of him and
his appearance and decided it would be better that he
didn’t join the upper circle, which crushed
Dah’nan’s hopes and dreams of his retirement into
advisory. Though Dah’nan isn’t one to hold
grudges so he tries to understand and continue searching for
his destiny.
7. Giovani: -- Upon meeting him in the future, he
decides right away that he very much dislikes him. Very much
enemies, wants to punch his face in. :D
8. Kyo and Bynn – He thinks they’re kind
of annoying because ever since he rescued them from an evil
spirit, they keep trying to find ways to thank him and follow
him around, seeing how he “does things” and how
he “kicks ass”.
Additional Notes on This Character: Sometimes he
visits Karniel’s grave when he’s feeling lost. At
his funeral he was the last one standing around his grave,
and when it started raining, he fell to his knees and wept
while laying over his stone for days, since his promise to
protect Karniel failed, it haunted him.
